Osinbajo, Abiodun, others, to attend Oba Akarigbo Ajayi's 5th Coronation & 60th Birthday

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, are among many notable Nigerians being expected at the 5th coronation anniversary cum 60th birthday ceremony of the Chairman of Ogun State Council of Obas and the Akarigbo/Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, on Sunday December 11,2022.

The Co-Chairman of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, RemoGDF, Aare(Dr) Kola Oyefeso who disclosed this to Successful People Magazine in a telephone chat after the news conference organised in the palace on Friday by the RemoGDF, noted that the two-in-one event would be glorious.

The chairman of the planning committee for the milestone celebrations, Otunba Seni Adetu, while addressing newsmen at the conference, disclosed that the king of Juju music, Prince Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, a.k.a King Sunny Ade, is the top musician being expected to entertain the guests that day.

The epoch making celebrations, according to Adetu, is a week long activities that will kick off on Friday, December 2 and end on December 11, 2022. 

Activities lined up for the event include; a commemorative Jumat service, athletic events, private birthday celebration at the palace, carnivals, golf tournament.

The grand finale is the coronation anniversary in which King Sunny Ade will do what he knows how to do best.

Oba Ajayi, who was born on December 5, 1962 was installed the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo on December 7, 1917. He would be 60years old on December 5. 

Speaking on the preparation, Otunba Adetu said " The double celebrations are not just to socialize and make merry. Our intention in addition to all of that is to showcase Remoland, most especially the laudable achievements of our dear Akarigbo in the last five years of by the throne of his forebears.

“We also want to use this opportunity to reveal some projects that give insight into the endless or limitless possibilities that abound in Remoland.”He added.
