RemoGDF unfolds achievements of Remoland under Oba Akarigbo Ajayi's reign, as they celebrate his 5th coronation and 60th birthday.
...Expressed optimism that Remo would become the industrial capital of Ogun State/Nigeria soon.

The Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas and Akarigbo cum Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, will be 60years old on December 5. He will also celebrate his 5th coronation anniversary on December 7, 2022.
In making these double celebrations epoch making events, Remo Growth and Development Foundation, RemoGDF under the chairmanship of Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, has mapped out series of programmes being organised by a committee set up, with Otunba Seni Adetu as the chairman.
Oba Ajayi, while speaking during an interview with some journalists, inside his palace, in Sagamu, on Friday, disclosed that the “best is yet to come”, in moving Remoland to greater heights.
The monarch who bagged national award of Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR, last month, expressed optimism that Remoland will become the industrial capital of the state and Nigeria in the next 10 years.
He however, sought more cooperation from his people to achieve the expected desires.
During a news conference organised inside the palace by the RemoGDF, the Co-Chairman, Aare (Dr) Kola Oyefeso, who first spoke before handing over to Otunba Adetu, said that they were proud to celebrate the royal father, whose reign, he said has been characterised with resourcefulness and visionary leadership since the monarch ascended the throne of his ancestors.
He disclosed that a week-long programmes have been planned. The ceremonies will start on Friday December 2 and continue till Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Oyefeso who delved a bit into the origin of Remo, noted that Remo people are proud to have their roots in Iremo Quarters, Ile Ife. And are happy for the landscape that is known as Remoland today because of its vantage location, which he described as the gateway between Lagos-the commercial nucleus of Nigeria, and the rest of the country.
The events, according to him, are to showcase the achievements of Remoland during the five years that Oba Ajayi has been on the throne as the Akarigbo.
The RemoGDF Co-chairman used the occasion to call on all sons and daughters of Remoland to come and join hands with them in celebrating their royal father; who he described as a beacon of light and one with uncommon leadership acumen.
Oyefeso said: “As we thank God and celebrate these milestones, we are urging all Remonians at home and abroad, and our associates, to come and be part of this epoch making celebrations; particularly to rise to the occasion of being part of the success story of Remoland with their God given wherewithal, as we subtly remind us that we all owe our maker a nonnegotiable responsibility of making our environment better than we met it”.
The Asiwaju of Remoland and Hon. Life Vice President of National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, Asiwaju Solomon Kayode Onafowokan, encouraged young people of Remo extractions to work hard in order to build better future for themselves.
Onafowokan, a top trustee of RemoGDF and Chairman of West Africa's first fiber optic cable factory, Coleman Technical Industries Limited, stated that, from the moment Akarigbo ascended the throne, he has been ruling with exemplary sense of
mission to serve and develop Remoland, displaying his cerebral attainments as a foremost accountant and administrator.
This outstanding industrialist, who is also an Officer of the Order of Niger, OON, explained that for anyone to become an entrepreneur, one needed to undergo training and gain experience. "You need to work hard, to become successful", he stressed.
He however expressed dismay that young people these days were not ready to undergo such training.
Otunba Adetu, while briefing newsmen, highlighted and emphasized on Akarigbo’s mission and achievements in the last 5 years, which he said was primarily to build unity among the different communities in Remoland.
He added that it was Akarigbo's visionary leadership that gave birth to Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF).
He commended the Akarigbo on the grounds that over the space of five years, his leadership has been characterized by high rate of industrialization and positive business development.
According to him, the royal father was being felicitated as result of his foresights which has engendered and created a society where businesses thrive, companies get established, and people survive without depending solely on either the government or family members.
"
Our father's transformational leadership and achievements alone call for celebration, which is why the days scheduled for the event should be attended by all Remonians, both at home and in the Diaspora", Adetu explained.
To drive home his points and attract more investors for the growth and development of the land, a video documentary was presented to showcase the industrialization of Remoland.
