Within three years of becoming the Ogun State Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle David Ahmed Otaru has attained a lot of laudable landmark achievements that have earned him commendations from his predecessors, senior clergy men, colleagues, subordinates and the public.

What are the secrets behind his monumental achievements since July 19, 2018, when he became the State Chairman?
Well, Successful People Magazine hereby exposes the secrets behind his success, which can serve as success lessons to our readers across the world.

HIS UNPRECEDENTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Before exposing what led to his success so far, let us first tell you some of his achievements.
It was from the beginning of his tenure that the chairmanship of the PFN in Ogun State moved out of Abeokuta, the state capital, since this Christian association was formed 34years ago.
It was during his tenure also that the State secretariat of the PFN was moved out of the state capital temporarily for the first time and got located in Sagamu, Remo; where it is today.
He is as well the first non- Yoruba man to be the State Chairman of PFN in Ogun State; an unprecedented achievement .

He succeeded in getting a hectare of land for the construction of the permanent State Secretariat for the PFN at Kobape, outside Abeokuta.
He also embarked on building the PFN permanent state Secretariat on the acquired land , which has gotten to an advanced stage now.
Beside these, the prayer department led by the Ogun PFN Prayer Secretary, Rev. Abiodun O. Adegbite, has many success stories to share about what they were able to accomplish within the period under review, while carrying out the assignment and instructions given to them by this state chairman.
Worthy of mentioning as well is the vision this Apostle has been carrying out since he became the PFN Number One man in the state, tagged Operation TEC (Training, Evangelism and Charity).
We have conducted various training programme that cut across all segment of our structure like: Ministers, youths, women and children.
Through this TEC , the PFN outreaches are being carried out regularly; notable among which was the one taken to the Police Area Command, where Pastor Akinmoju Olugbenga and Prophet Gideon Agbebi ministered powerfully in words and prayers respectively, with a lot of police officers in attendance.

Speaking on his achievements, he said: "We have conducted various training programmes that cut across all segment of our structure like: Ministers, youths, women and children.
On the charity vision, he described it as being somehow prophetic in view of the global health challenges that brought the entire world to her knees through the COVID-19 pandemic.
THE CHALLENGES
Among the challenges his administration faced was the closure of churches for many months by government during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
This, he disclosed, brought a tough challenge to his administration which claimed to be charity compliant.
Many of them were in dire need of assistance, while the lockdowns lasted. We realised that failing to respond can make many withdraw tactically from the fellowship.
According to him,"The component of pentecostal churches are quite different from other denominations as we have mostly independent churches that are smaller in size and are in rural areas".

"Many of them were in dire need of assistance, while the lockdowns lasted. We realised that failing to respond can make many withdraw tactically from the fellowship." He added.
Through dilligent handling and meeting of those needs within the limit of the available resources, those who were formally sitting on the fence, kept trooping in and began to join as new members.
" Our response from the state leadership was spontaneous and huge so as to restore their confidence in the body.
"Am happy to report that in every state meeting after the COVID-19 pandemic, new members have joined massively." He disclosed joyfully.
SECRETS OF HIS ACHIEVEMENTS
1) HEART OF GRATITUDE
While giving accounts of his stewardship in the last three years, he started by giving all glory to God for his mercy and faithfulness.
He also said, "I appreciate the efforts of my predecessor Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya for the solid structure he handed over to us.
'My appreciation goes to State Advisory Council members for the confidence reposed in me and my team to steer the ship of this great body in Ogun state." He added.
2) NETWORKING WITH WISDOM
Another secret behind his landmark achievements is networking by wisdom. He realised that the biggest churches in Nigeria like: The Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Living Faith Church International (A.K.A. Winners Chapel) and others, have their international headquarters in Ogun State and are members of the PFN under him.
So, he opened his eyes of understanding and saw the opportunities he could get through networking for support from the likes of the RCCG General Overseer Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and Winners Chapel Founder /President Bishop David Oyedepo.
He visited them and got amazing supports beyond his imagination. For instance, Pastor Adeboye singlehandedly paid for the one hectare of land when they told him of their plans to build the permanent headquarters.
Bishop Oyedepo gave them an undisclosed amount of money to start building the state headquarters.
3) ACTION.
As an action man, without any procrastination, they acquired that hectare of land at a strategic location in Kobape area.of Egbaland, outside Abeokuta, along Sagamu-Isiun-Abeokuta Road.
They quickly embarked on the surveying and got government approval for the four main projects the parcel of land was meant for. And his team started the legacy building project fast.
The all inclusive strategy and openess of our leadership process reduce all manner of misconception of state policy .
Today, with additional monetary donations from other pentecostal ministries, the project, called PFN LEGACY SECRETARIAT, is at a roofing stage.
The visioneer, Apostle Otaru, is now appealing to members for more financial support, so that the roofing and finishing of that multi-million Naira hall and offices could be completed and dedicated before the end of his tenure in 2022.
4) LEADERSHIP STYLES
Another observable secret was his leadership style which motivated the PFN officers.
Such leadership styles include: consultation, openess, sacrifice and leadership by example; which he however said only God deserves all the glory, not him.
5) TEAMWORK
As it is often said, "Teamwork makes the dream work", his team Spirit, which he demonstrated regularly for others to emulate, where they have not been doing that, also contributed to the rancors-free administration he enjoyed.
"We are delighted to report that we have run a serene, peaceful and a rancour free administration. There is peace in Ijebu , Remo, Egba and Yewa-Awori axis of our great body to the glory of God.
"The all inclusive strategy and openess of our leadership process reduce all manner of misconception of state policy .
"We have also identified some areas of strength and weakness which we hope to address at an appropriate time." He explained.
Looking at the whole achievements, Apostle Otaru said only God can take the glory, because God alone was the one who supported every effort made and the one behind the success recorded so far.
