Ex-Emir Sanusi pays condolence visit to Adamawa over death of Joda

Former Emir of Kano,  Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the government and people of Adamawa State to commiserate with them over the death of one of the illustrious sons of the state, Ahmed Joda.

He arrived Adamawa in his emir regalia, in company of his royal guards, for the visit he should have paid last Friday when the elder statesman passed on and was buried, but for his visit to Kogi State and the book launch in Lagos he had to attend. 

Adamawa is a state in Nigeria that is dominated by Fulani traditional group, and Sanusi is a notable Fulani man with royal ancestry.

Joda was the chairman of the transition committee that prepared the way for the assumption of office of the then President-elect, Gen. Muhamadu Buhari in 2015.
