Unveiling 6 Nigerian Fellows of ICAN from Remoland who are members of The Collectives

The Collectives is a club of resourceful and successful Nigerians, who are mostly men of Remo extraction, Ogun State.
This social club, founded about 22years ago, was then a society of young but success driven men, with many records of notable achievements.

Today, the club is an association of great minds and achievers with one of its founding members as the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland
It is a body of professionals with the creme de la creme of corporate world. 
Of course, most of them who are engineers, accountants and captains of industry, are key players in the oil and gas, financial, agricultural, educational and other sectors.

BEHOLD THE 6 NIGERIAN FELLOWS OF ICAN FROM REMOLAND WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE COLLECTIVES

Successful People Magazine unveiled here the outstanding accountants who have attained the rank of FCA of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) among The Collectives.

#1  OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI, 
HRM Oba B.A. Ajayi; LL.B, BL, LL.M, FCA, FCITN, FBIR

This veteran insolvency lawyer and learned accountant is a globally acclaimed expert in insolvency and restructuring. He is the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland in Ogun State. 

HRM Oba Ajayi, a holder of bachelor and masters degrees in Law(LLB, B.L, LLM), is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(FCA), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation(FCIT), Fellow of Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners of Nigeria (FBIR) and the first African to be ranked a Fellow of INSOL International in 2012.

Until his coronation as the Akarigbo in 2017, this first class monarch was a Managing Partner of Babington Ashaye & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants. 

He is the Immediate past President of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria(BRIPAN), among several other positions and academic awards.

Oba Ajayi, a founding member of The Collectives, is the only member who had been President of the club twice between 2001-2004 and 2010-2014. He is the current Chairman of its Board of Trustees

Oba Ajayi is also a member of the Ikoyi Club and Lagos Lawn Tennis Club.


#2.      LANRE SOLARIN-EXECUTIVE 
This man who is an expert in Financial Administration, Taxation, Strategy Development, e.t.c, has a B.Sc in Accounting from the then Ogun State University(now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye. 

He is also a holder of Master of Business Administration (MBA) of the Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA).

With over 30years experience, spanning various industries, Mr Solarin is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(CITN).

He is a Managing Partner and Head of Tax, Synergy Network Consulting, in addition to being the Managing Partner of Lanre Solarin & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants

Prior to the establishment of Synergy Network Consulting -Tax Practitioner he had worked over 10 years with Segun Oyebola & Co (Chartered Accountants)
He later formed Lanre Solarin & Co (a firm of Chartered Accountants)

He has managed tax advisory functions for many International companies in Nigeria, which have contributed in no small measure to his wealth of knowledge and experience.
Aside being a member of the Ikoyi Club, Lagos, he is a founding member of The Collectives,  its current  Publicity Secretary and member of its Board of Trustees.


#3.      SEGUN FESTUS OLUWAJI : 
Here is another distinguished accountant who is a Fellow of the ICAN. A graduate of the then University of Ife(now Obafemi Awolowo University), where he bagged B.Sc in Physical Sciences.

Apart from being the Chairman/CEO of Courtyard Farms Limited, Mr Oluwaji is a man with an extensive knowledge of the Nigerian business environment. He has investment interests in various industries.
He is skillful in Business Strategy, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Entrepreneurship, Management, International Trade, Negotiations and Agriculture.

Oluwaji was the third President of the club who led the members successfully between 2004 and 2006.

         
 #4     SAMSON ADEOYE SOKOYA
  A thoroughly schooled accountant, audit and management guru, financial expert and key player in the Nigeria Oil and Gas sector, Mr Sokoya is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

He is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of 2015 Petroleum & Investments Limited.
He joined the team of key players in the petroleum industry when he pioneered the establishment of Internal Control and Audit Department Of the Eterna Plc many years ago. 

He rose to become the Head, Business  Transformation of the company later. He was, until his voluntary retirement in late 2020, the General Manager, Corporate Planning & Strategy of the Eterna Plc.

Before attaining the rank of FCA in the Accounting profession, Sokoya had been  a holder of Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife,. 

He had earlier gotten a B.Sc(Finance) from the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, in addition to his Associate of Chartered Accountant (ACA) award from the ICAN.

Prior to the obtainment of those academic cum professional certificate and degrees, he had been well trained at the then Ogun State Polytechnic(now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta and The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, where he bagged National Diploma(ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) in Accountancy respectively.
Sokoya has been the Financial Secretary of The Collectives.




#5.      OLUMIDE ONIMOLE
A financial guru and Fellow of the the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Mr Onimole is a man with over three decades of work experience across major sectors of the Nigeria economy.
He cut his teeth in financial expertise at a leading multinational company, CFAO Nigeria Plc, where he started his career and also led the finance functions for over fifteen years, before leaving the company in 2005.

His expertise in Accounting, Financial Control, Budgeting, Taxation and Treasury Management fetched him a higher appointment with the Global Energy Group, where he was seconded to SDEM Erectors Nigeria Ltd as the Financial Controller in November 2005: This position he held till April 2013. 

He rose to become the Chief Financial Officer of the company through his promotion to the post of General Manager, Finance, Admin and Support Services. 
Mr Onimole, a graduate of Accounting from the first higher institution in Nigeria, Yaba College of Technology; got his MBA in Finance from the University of Lagos

In addition, he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(CITN).
This financial expert is the General Secretary of The Collectives and Financial Secretary of the Remo Growth and Development Foundation.

#6.            SAMUEL TITI MARE
Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) who has a special interest in raising children for manpower development, this man is the MD/CEO of Up & Best Investments Ltd and Chairman, Board of Governors, Mare Schools.

A graduate of the University of Lagos, where he bagged his first degree in Accounting, Mare is an accountant turned educationist

His Mare Schools, established about two decades ago, was first named Zenith International School but later changed to MARE Schools

Of course, MARE is not just his surname but the acronym of what the schools' mission is actually all about; M=Morals, A=Academic, R=Reliability, E=Excellence.
With this mission and mindset, MARE Schools have been making impacts in the Ketu and other axes of Lagos, even as the school's products spread across Nigerian and overseas universities today.

He is currently the sixth chartered accountant with the rank of FCA among the members of the Akarigbo's club, The Collectives; which he joined few years ago.

The presentation of his  membership certificate was done, along with that of Mr Tajudeen Ayandare at the 3rd Royal Banquet of the club, held inside the Akarigbo Palace Hall on December 22, 2019, during the 20th anniversary of the club, by its incumbent President, Mr Sammy Ogunjimi, the Founder/Group MD of Codix Pharma Limited
