Oby Ezekwesili eulogies God as she clocks 58
Former Nigeria minister of education, Dr Obiageli Kathryn Ezekwesili, famously known as Oby Ezekwesili, has expressed gratitude to God for how He has helped her to reach the height she has attained in life and for keeping her alive till the age of fifty eight years.
Oby in a tweet on her Twitter handle, eulogises God as her light and strength, her comforter and hope, her all in all.
She also expressed confidence that in the love of Christ she stands.
On her Twitter handle she tweets,
"In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my Light, my Strength, my Song......
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.🙇🏾♀️💡💪🏾🙏🏾"
Born on April 28, 1963, to the family of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Ujubuonu in Anambra State, Mrs Ezekwesili was the Minister of Solid Minerals between 2005 and 2006 by the then President Olusegun Obasanjo..
She was later appointed as Minister of Education in that 2006.
After the expiration of her ministerial appointment in 2007, she became the Vice President of the World Bank (Africa Region).
Oby holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Nigeria, Nzukka.
She began her career with Deloitte & Touche, where she qualified as a chartered accountant.
She worked as an auditor and management and financial services consultant. She then served as a founding Director of Transparency International (TI) and as TI’s Director for Africa from 1994 to 1999. Ms. Ezekwesili also holds a Master's degree in International Law & Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, a Master's degree in Public Policy & Administration from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
In 2006, Ms. Ezekwesili was given the national award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR). She is married to Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili and has three sons.
