Why do ladies marry men who are old enough to be their fathers, or even grandfathers? Well, they have their reasons.
Why do men also go for girls who are young enough to be their daughters or grand daughters? They also have their reasons.

PRESIDENTS ENGAGE IN IT
1) PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
He married the current Nigeria’s First Lady, Hajia Aishat Buhari, in 1989 as his second wife, after he had divorced his first wife in 1988.
Buhari who was born on December 17, 1942, was 47 years old when he married the damsel, while she was just 18 years old then.
Aisha, then a school certificate holder, was born on February 17, 1971, the year Buhari married his first wife, Safinatu Yusuf,
Buhari’s marriage with Aishat had produced five children among whom Yusuf Buhari , who was involved in motor-bike crash a couple of years ago, is the only male.
Buhari was 77years old last December(2019) while Aishat clocked 48years last February(2020)
2) DR NNAMDI AZIKIWE
Nigeria first indigenous Governor General and first President, late Dr Nnamdi AZIKIWE married Miss Uche Ewah (now Prof. Uche Nnamdi AZIKIWE) as his second wife in 1973, without divorcing the first.
Azikiwe, born on November 16,1904, was 69years old, when he married the barely 26years old Uche(who was born in February, 1947).
Uche, then a teacher in a secondary, later moved to the University of Nigeria, Nzukka, in 1987 where she eventually became a Professor at the Faculty of Education while Zik was still alive.
She is now 73years old, but was just 49 years old when Zik died in 1996, at over 91.
The marriage produced two children, Uwakwe Ukuta and Molokwu Azubuike.

3) MALLAM ISA YUGUDA
This former governor of Bauchi State, born on June 15, 1956, was 53years old when he married the then 21years old Nafisa Isa Yar’Adua, daughter of late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua, in 2009.
Yuguda, who already had three wives at the time of the wedding, was Bauchi governor, while Yar’Adua was Nigeria president.
Yuguda will be 64 this June 15 (2020) while Nafisa is about 32years old. The marriage has produced four children.
4) ADAMS OSHIOMOLE
Former governor of Edo State and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was 63 years old when he married 29years old Lara Fortes, on Friday, 15th May 2015.
Oshiomole, who was born on April 4, 1952, went for this Creole lady,after his first wife died in 2010 of breast cancer.
Lara Fortes, a model and former flight attendant, is from Cape Verde .
Adams Oshiomole, now 68years old, is 34 years older than his wife, who is now about 34years old.
5) CHIEF ODUMEGWU OJUKWU
This former governor of Eastern Region and Biafra warlord was another man who enjoyed love with a woman she was reported to have attended her naming ceremony, being her father’s friend.
Ojukwu had gotten other wives(but one at a time) before he began love affairs with, Bianca Onoh, the then beauty queen and former Miss Nigeria, Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental.
Bianca was daughter of former Anambra State governor, Christian Onoh, Ojukwu's old intimate friend.
Onoh was strongly against the wedding but the couple went ahead with their love.
Ojukwu was born in November 1933 and Bianca was born on 5 August, 1968, at the time he(Ojukwu) was leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra.
In spite of the 35years age difference, their love affairs came into public awareness in 1989, and they got married in early 1990s when Bianca was in her mid 20s . The couple had three children named: Afamefuna, Chineme and Nwachukwu. Bianca had reportedly said she would never advice any of her daughter or grand daughters to go into such affairs.
BUSINESS MOGULS CHERISH IT
6) SIR KESSINGTON ADEBUTU
Nigeria most famous lotto merchant and billionaire business mogul, famously known as “Baba Ijebu” was about 70years old when he married his youngest wife, Temitope Kofoworola, in 2005, who was then just 28years old.
Tope is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, and she is 43years old.
In 2013, Temitope was delivered of a set of twin boys in Germany for Adebutu.
Sir Adebutu was born in October 1935, while Temitope was born in 1977. The age difference is about 42 years.
7) ALHAJI RASAQ AKANNI OKOYA
This multi-billionaire industrialist and Chairman of Eleganza Group of companies is another man who is married to a young lady.
Okoya, born on January 12, 1940, had been married to two wives earlier, who had all gone before he met this young lady, Sade Okoya, who is described as a paragon of beauty and brain.
Sade who was born in 1977, will be 43 this year while Okoya was 80years old last January (2020).
Okoya is over 37years older than her. And the marriage has produced four children.

8) EX- EMIR SANUSI LAMIDO (Former Emir of Kano)
This past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) and the dethroned 14th Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi whose royal name is Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II was 54years old when he married 18years old Princess Sa’adatu Barkindo Musdafa, in September 2015,
Sanusi who was born on 31 July 1961, will be 59years old this July, while his damsel is now 23years old.
The princess, who is now known and addressed as Sa’adatu Sanusi is the daughter of Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, the Lamido of Adamawa.
The lady who studied computer science at a university in UK is now the fourth wife of the dethroned emir after she completed her degree course.
9) OBA LAMIDI ADEYEMI (ALAAFIN OF OYO)
His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin Of Oyo, was 81 years old on October 15, 2019. He has many wives: four young harem, among whom two are in their early 30s.
The youngest of all is Badirat Adeyemi, fondly referred to as Olori Ola. She is the monarch’s favourite. This queen who has two sons for the octogenarian monarch was 30years old in November 2019, while Oba Adeyemi is over 50 years old than her.

10) DR SUNNY KUKU
This Nigerian billionaire, medical director and co-owner of Eko Hospital, Dr Sunny Kuku is another senior citizen who is in serious love with a woman who is many years younger than himself.
Olorogun Kuku, a veteran consultant physician and endocrinologist from Ijebu Ode, Ogun State clocked 76 January 2020. He is married to a former beauty queen and 1994 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria(MBGN), Susan Hart.
He met her about 20 years ago and they’ve been married about 19years ago. Their son is about 17years old now. Age difference ? You know she was definitely in her 20s when she was beauty pageant in 1994. And she would be in her 40s now. So, guess.

11) APOSTLE ANSELM MADUBUKO
This Anambra State born architect turned pastor and the General Overseer of The Revival Assembly Church will be 62years old this July (born July 25, 1958). He lost his wife, Pastor Connie Madubuko, some years back and later in August 31, 2013, was remarried to a Kenyan born gospel singer, Emmy Kosgei.
This Kenyanese gospel music celebrity was born on 22 July 1980. So he is 22years older than this young wife, who will be 39years old this July.
12) PASTOR TAIWO ODUKOYA
He is the Founder/ Senior Pastor of the The Fountain of Life Church, Lagos. He lost his first wife, the famous Pastor Bimbo Odukoya who was involved in Sosoliso plane crash in 2005.
After waiting for almost five years he got married to a South African lady who was in her mid-30s in January 2010.
Pastor Odukoya, born in June 1956 is 64years old, while this female minister, now a pastor in the church, is 45years old.

PLEASE NOTE: While these pastors are much older than their wives, it was the unfortunate death of their wives that created room for this; just like that of Adams Oshiomole and Nwanyanwu. Not that they divorced or married second or more wives as other people do. And they didn’t go for teenagers as some did.
