House of Representatives aspirant in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency of Ogun State, during the 2019 general elections, Hon. Akeem Olamilekan Ademolake has said the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun must be given a second term.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart made it clear that the governor must not experience the fate of the immediate past governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, who was denied second term despite his numerous achievements during his four-year tenure.
"The government of Prince Dapo Abiodun is an administration we spent money and time on and built together before it came into reality.
"In every way, we have to make sure we continue to support and embrace the government," he said.
The governor was elected in 2019 general elections and would celebrate his first year in office on May 29.
To avoid Ambode experience, Ademolake called on Abiodun to continue to remain focus. "He must also look inward and ensure that all internal crises are settled because we don't want him to have problems.
"We voted for him for the first term. And we want to vote for him again because he must get his second term," he added.

Ademolake, who was denied the House of Assembly ticket in 2015 and was asked to sacrifice his House of Representatives ambition again in 2019, pointed out that he is a loyal party man who would not betray his leaders and the party because of denial of the ticket.
All efforts to make him voice out on the way he was denied party ticket twice proved abortive as he kept on saying he was a loyal party man.
He insisted that whatever happened in the party and the sacrifices he made were not to be made public, as they remained internal issues.
He asked his followers to continue to remain faithful and loyal to the APC as he has been doing, and expressed optimism that party leaders would consider his commitment and loyalty in future elections.
Speaking on his mission in politics, he said he was an agent of change who would continue to do things that will make APC remain a party the electorate would always vote for in every election.
